TRAFFIC ADVISORY
Streets will begin closing Saturday June 29 at 8 a.m. It is recommended to use Waze or Google Maps to help navigate road closures. The following streets will be impacted by the closures:
- Hill District + Lower Hill
- Centre Ave from Kirkpatrick St to Ross St
- Downtown
- Ross St from Centre Ave to Forbes Ave
- Forbes Ave from Ross St to Market Square
- Market Square & Market St, Graeme St, and McMasters Way
- 6th Street from Market Square to Roberto Clemente Bridge
- Roberto Clemente Bridge
- Northside
- W. General Robinson St from Federal St to Mazeroski
- Reedsdale St from Mazeroski to Scotland St
- Merchant St & Martindale St
- W. Ohio St / Western Ave from Arch St to Allegheny Ave
TRAFFIC CROSSINGS: Unlike other events, OpenStreetsPGH does not require a complete street closure, but motorists are advised to expect traffic delays and allow for sufficient travel time. Drivers and motor vehicles may cross the route at the following 10 open intersections:
- Crawford St & Centre Ave
- Fifth Ave & Ross St
- Grant St & Forbes Ave
- Smithfield St & Forbes Ave
- Wood St & Forbes Ave
- Fifth Ave & Market St
- Liberty Ave & 6th St
- Ft Duquesne Blvd & 6th St
- Brighton Rd & Western Ave
- Allegheny Ave (end of route – road is open)
- Kirkpatrick St (end of route – road is open)

OpenStreetsPGH temporarily closes roads to car traffic, and invites Pittsburghers to reimagine our streets as places for people. Walk, run, bike, skate, roll, dance, and enjoy the road at your own pace! Participants can jump into a free fitness class at our wellness hub, learn how to ride, drift or tackle a jumps course at our kids hub, enjoy food from local vendors, and play in the streets with activities hosted by over 50 local organizations.

Beginning at 3:00 a.m. on event day, all cars (including those parked on the street) will be prohibited on the event route.

PARKING RESTRICTIONS
There is no parking allowed along the event route from 3am – 3pm on event days. All parked cars will be towed to provide a safe and car-free area for event participants. “No Parking” signs will be placed along the route starting the Wednesday before the event.
TRAFFIC ADVISORY
Some streets will be closed, and vehicles left parked on the street will be towed starting at 6:00 a.m. Details available in full Traffic Alert.
TRAFFIC CROSSINGS
Unlike other events, OpenStreetsPGH does not necessitate a complete street closure. Car drivers may cross the route for business and residential access by using open intersections.
Roadways will reopen promptly by 3:00 p.m.
BUS DETOURS
Some bus lines on the route will be affected. Stay updated on Pittsburgh Regional Transit’s detours at www.portauthority.org/detours
