Thanks for your interest in getting involved! There are a few ways to participate in OpenStreetsPGH with your business or organization. For those with a storefront or building directly on the event route, you can participate simply by opening up on event day! Many establishments choose to extend their storefronts onto the sidewalk or street during the event hours. If you feel like doing something more (like offering special discounts to event attendees or having a fun activity in-store) complete the Activity Partner application to let us know what you’ll be doing and we’ll be sure to add you to the event schedule! If your business or organization is not located directly on the route but would like to be involved, please apply for a spot as an Activity Partner (link above). You’re also welcome to join our amazing OpenStreetsPGH volunteer team (link above).

OpenStreetsPGH does not allow organizations/businesses to “table”. Most participants in OpenStreetsPGH attend with the intent to explore the route, patronize local businesses, and enjoy a day of car-free transportation. Because of that, we’ve learned it’s tough to get participants to stop for tabling or other passive activities. Instead, we recommend that you apply to be an Activity Partner to host an engaging activity for participants to learn about your organization or mission.

Participation is absolutely FREE for Activity Partners with a storefront or building directly on the event route or that are located in our OpenStreetsPGH route neighborhood. For establishments located outside of our OpenStreetsPGH route neighborhoods there is a partner fee that supports keeping the event free for all of our friends and neighbors. Fees: Non-profit organization fee is $50, any establishment that is not a non-profit is $75. *You may be considered a sponsor depending on the type and size of your business or organization, and how much space you are requesting for your activity. Fill out the Activity Partner application in order to determine whether a fee would apply. Submitting an application does not guarantee acceptance, preference is given to businesses and organizations in the participating neighborhoods. To learn more click the links above.
